If you find it necessary to judge me by my past..

If you find it necessary to judge me by my past, don't be surprised when I find it necessary to put you there.

Don't mention a person's past mistakes when they are trying to change.

Don't mention a person's past mistakes when they are trying to change. That's like throwing rocks at them while they climb a mountain.

Sometimes we need to forget some people from our past..

Sometimes we need to forget some people from our past, because of one simple reason: they just don't belong in our future.

When people give you advice..

It's one of my theories that when people give you advice, they're really just talking to themselves in the past. ~ Austin Kleon

You are here for a reason.

This world needs people of mastery, decency, bravery, humanity and love as never before. Each day offers you an arena, a platform to model the highest we all once aimed to be. Just because being the most excellent person you know may not be the most common pursuit in a world that celebrates the shiny toys of the ego, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t stand for this ambition - if it feels right to your heart. You are here for a reason. Your life has an original mission. Dismiss your excuses - they do not become you. You are more than the sum of your past. Release all chains. Dust off all doubt. Rise. Dream. Do. We need more lights of possibility. ~Robin Sharma

Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

What happened, happened.

What happened, happened. Dwelling on it won't change a thing. It's time to let go and reclaim your peace. ~Mandy Hale -The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass

Hard times are often blessings in disguise.

Hard times are often blessings in disguise. Let go and let life strengthen you. No matter how much it hurts, hold your head up and keep going. This is an important lesson to remember when you’re having a rough day, a bad month, or a crappy year. Truth be told, sometimes the hardest lessons to learn are the ones your spirit needs most. Your past was never a mistake if you learned from it. So take all the crazy experiences and lessons and place them in a box labeled “Thank You.” ~Manisha Shrestha Bundela

The past cannot be changed, forgotten, edited or erased; it can only be accepted.

Forget who hurt you yesterday, but don't forget those who love you everyday.

Forget who hurt you yesterday, but don't forget those who love you everyday. Forget the past that makes you cry and focus on the present that makes you smile. Forget the pain but never the lessons you gained. ~unknown

No matter how dirty your past is, your future is still spotless.

No matter how dirty your past is, your future is still spotless. That's how God looks at us and how we should look at one another.

Don’t bring up the past of a person who is trying to improve their future.

We are products of our past, but we don't have to be prisoners of it. ~Rick Warren

Life's Healing Choices: Freedom from Your Hurts, Hang-ups, and Habits

You are enough.

It doesn’t matter who you used to be; what matters is who you decide to be today. You are not your mistakes. You are not your mishaps. You are not your past. You are not your wounds. You can decide differently today and at every moment. Remember that. You are offered a new opportunity with each breath to think, choose, decide and act differently in a way that supports you in being all that you are capable of being. You are not less than. You are enough. ~unknown

Forgive yourself first.

Forgive yourself first. Release the need to replay a negative situation over and over again in your mind. Don't become a hostage to your past by always reviewing and reliving your mistakes. Don't remind yourself of what should have, could have or would have been. Release it and let it go. Move on. ~ Les Brown

Unfortunately, the clock is ticking, the hours are going by.

Unfortunately, the clock is ticking, the hours are going by. The past increases, the future recedes. Possibilities decreasing, regrets mounting.

~Haruki Murakami -- Dance Dance Dance

The past can't change, but that doesn't make it hurt any less.

People act like it's so easy to forget the past, but I can tell you it's not. How can you forget the lies, the games, or the times you blamed yourself for someone else's mistakes?
The past can't change, but that doesn't make it hurt any less.

You can accept or reject the way you are treated by other people, but until you heal the wounds of your past, you will continue to bleed.

You can accept or reject the way you are treated by other people, but until you heal the wounds of your past, you will continue to bleed. You can bandage the bleeding with food, with alcohol, with drugs, with work, with cigarettes, with sex, but eventually, it will all ooze through and stain your life. You must find the strength to open the wounds, stick your hands inside, pull out the core of the pain that is holding you in your past, the memories, and make peace with them.

I fell in love with him.

I fell in love with the way he held my hand and looked into my eyes and said,

“you are mine and you could not have belonged to any other man”.
I fell in love with his courage , his die-hard romantic attitude and his way of looking at things with pure love. I fell in love with the way he trusted me from the moment he met me and shared his past with me without any hesitation or inhibition.I fell in love with his strong belief that he was the one whom God had created for me. I felt we had known each other from a past life. We connected instantly and beautifully like two magnets which were held away from each other for a long long time. We had been soul mates since our souls had evolved. We have been lovers since time unknown…
