I love unmade beds. I love when people are drunk and crying and cannot be anything but honest in that moment. I love the look in people’s eyes when they realize they’re in love. Do not fall in love with the broken girl if you can’t handle the pain from trying to pick up her pieces. Depression doesn’t listen to sweet nothings and anxiety doesn’t listen when you say calm down. If you can’t love me like this, don’t love me at all because when you leave i’ll be more broken than I was before.

And suddenly she found herself grateful. Grateful for all the darkness, the heartbreak and the betrayal because it allowed her to recognize true love when she found it. And she knew without a doubt, that all the broken, shattered forgotten pieces of her soul were worth putting back together again because she became her beloved and found new light and love along the way.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned this year is that no one is really your friend, or truly loves you until they’ve seen every dark shadow inside you, and stayed.

There was a battle going on between my heart and my mind for so long before the decision was made. We were best friends and we grew together as people… Together we have seen many beautiful phases of our lives together… We understand each other so well and can call on each other any time of the day… but we are two individual personalities. We like each other very much… and love one another too… but we have very little in common. How can we expect to stay happy together for a lifetime if we get married..??? Seriously, be strong and know when enough is enough. Take your stand, speak up and refuse to let others hurt you. Throughout your lifetime some people will discredit you, disrespect you and treat you poorly for no apparent reason at all. Don’t consume yourself with trying to change them or win their approval. And don’t make any space in your heart to hate them. You don’t have control over what others think about you, but you do have control over how you decide to internalize their opinions. Leave them to their own judgments. Let people love you for who you are, and not for who they want you to be. Or let them walk away if they choose. They can’t harm you either way; it’s their understanding that is faulty, not yours.

I need someone who will go to hell and back with me. Someone who won’t fold under the pressure. Someone who won’t quit when it gets a little tough. That’s when I know I’ve found something special. Something real. Something worth keeping. Anybody can love anybody when things are good. REAL LOVE stands the test of time, the test of faith, and the test of loyalty. There are people who will take their last breath trying to stop two people from being in love. I need someone who is ready to lace up their boots and fight for me. Fight for this love. Because anything worth having is worth fighting for.

They give you excuses when you don’t explain yourself. They accept apologies you don’t give. They see the best in you when you don’t need them to. At your worst, they lift you up, even if it means putting their priorities aside. The word “busy” does not exist in their dictionary. They make time, even when you don’t. And you wonder why they’re the most sensitive people. You wonder why they’re the most caring people. You wonder why they are willing to give so much of themselves with no expectation in return. You wonder why their existence is not so essential to your well-being. It’s because they don’t make you work hard for the attention they give you. They accept the love they think they’ve earned and you accepted the love you think you’re entitled to. Let me tell you something. Fear the day when a good heart gives up on you. Our skies don’t become grey out of no where. Our sunshine does not allow the darkness to take over for no reason. A heart does not turn cold unless it’s been treated with coldness for a while.

I guess the real fact of the matter is, we don’t know what tomorrow is going to bring and the only thing we really have is right now. So, don’t stay angry for too long and learn to forgive. Love your friends and family with all your heart. Have fun and live your life the way you want to live it. Most of all, don’t worry about people that don’t like you and enjoy the ones who do.
