Being lonely isn’t not having someone next to you…

I used to think the definition of lonely was purely just being alone. But I realized that it’s feeling sad at night and being too scared to text someone in case you disturb them. It’s being surrounded by a huge group of people and still feeling like you don’t belong with them. Being lonely isn’t not having someone next to you… It’s when the person next to you, isn’t the person who’s truly in your heart…

What are things that will pop out from your mind when you are hearing "introvert"? Will you consider that being introvert is such a shame? Will you say that introvert person is an anti-social being? In a world where people need to be open-minded and welcome to everything that can be different from one to another, being introvert can be hard. However, an introvert person is still generalized as a person that is hard to make friends, lazy to socialize and not easy to connect with people. Well, those things can be true sometimes, but it is not as bad as that. The pop culture generalizes introvert person as a person that cannot adapt as good as an extrovert person. It seems that people only see the best thing from extrovert perspective. That could be wrong as the world is not as simple as that and introvert is not what people in common think. Introvert people are not anti-social; they are just sometimes too selective in making a friend. They also could be good in choosing friends, and when they met, introvert people even can make a better joke than extrovert people. As introvertly is different than extrovert, there are still problems too in social life. These are problems that only introvert people understand.

·         Hard to enjoy party
The invitation could be a nightmare for introvert people especially when the invitation does not come from their best friends. It may sound that they are too closed regarding the invitation issue, but they are just so selective in picking what best friend to them, what kind of party that they might like. Introvert people don’t like crowded space and when it is about quality time with friends, they must have chosen to stay and play at home with friends than going to the party or festival event.
·         Avoid phone calls
One of the most common problems that every introvert person understands is about avoiding phone calls. They sometimes become so lazy when it has come to receive phone calls. Don’t see it wrong, it is the just introvert person that is so in love being lonely and enjoy their me-time a lot then going outside hanging out with friends or neighbors.
·         Being underestimated is common
As the introvert person is closed, it has been something common to see people underestimate them because they usually move in silence no matter it is forward and backward, people often underestimate people with that characteristic.
·         Hard to work in team
Another common stereotype of introvert person is also about how they work in a team. As they are hard to enjoy crowded space and so picky in choosing friends, they usually find it hard to work in a team. It is so different when they can see the teamwork as friends and not as a stranger. It is not easy to set the mind like that but to make it better, introvert people should have tried it to ensure that it is okay to be introvert, but at least they should be cool when they have to socialize with new people and new partners.

Some people tremble at the idea of being alone.

Some people tremble at the idea of being alone. I don't understand. I love solitude. My energy is never leeched. My feelings never hurt. I treat myself well. I entertain myself, but it's peaceful.

I've endured the worst times of life alone.

I've endured the worst times of life alone. I don't need anyone. If you're in my life, it's because I value you and want you there.

Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you.

Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They’re lonely. They’re missing somebody. They’re in love with someone they probably shouldn’t be in love with. They have secrets you wouldn’t believe. They wish and they dream and they hope, and they look out the window whenever they’re in the car or on a bus or a train and they watch people on the streets and wonder what they’ve been through. They wonder if there are people out there like them. They’re like you, and you could tell them everything and they would understand.

And right now, they’re sitting here reading these words, and I’m writing this for you so you don’t feel alone anymore.

There’s a reason we feel lonely even though we’re not alone..

There’s a reason we feel lonely even though we’re not alone; It’s because loneliness is not about how many friends we have or how many people there are in the room with us… it’s a disconnection from other human beings. Being social doesn’t cure loneliness; many people socialize when they don’t really feel like it just to keep up appearances. In fact sometimes the most popular person in the crowd is the loneliest of them all because underneath the facade of their superficial projection is a person who is never truly seen or known by anybody. We all have layers of personas and we all pretend we’re okay when we’re not, but loneliness comes when there is not a single person close enough to see past those illusions to who we really are and what we’re really feeling inside.

There is no greater isolation than being trapped inside yourself without another living soul to reach for. And that is why it is possible to feel loneliness when surrounded by people we know and love… because sadly there are times when a person can stand right next to us but not be close enough to really see us. And sometimes there are moments when the loneliest place on earth is being surrounded by people we call friends and knowing not a single one of them knows who we really are.
